Les frères ont vendu la marque Maserati pour pouvoir se concentrer uniquement sur la construction de voitures de course. Leur premier projet était une voiture capable de concourir dans la catégorie 1100cc. En 1948, la MT4 est née. Il s'agit d'une barchetta 2 places très légère équipée d'un moteur dérivé du 4 cylindres FIAT qui produit 53 Kw.
Au total, environ 75 MT4 ont été construites entre 1948 et 1956, mais elles ont été utilisées en course et en compétition active jusqu'en 1966. Le secret du succès de la MT4 résidait dans son rapport poids/puissance exceptionnel, associé à une mécanique robuste et fiable.
Cette MT4 a reçu une carrosserie entièrement en aluminium fabriquée par le carrossier italien ATL et le moteur a été élargi à 1453 cm3 et produit 110 ch. Une voiture parfaite pour ceux qui veulent participer à des courses de voitures historiques.

The brothers sold the Maserati brand so they could focus only on building race cars. Their first project was a car that could compete in the 1100cc racing class. In 1948 the MT4 was born. A very light 2 seater barchetta with a FIAT 4 cylinder derived engine with an alloy head which produced 53 Kw.
In total around 75 MT4 were build between 1948 and 1956, but they were raced and used in active competition until 1966. The secret to the MT4’s success was its exceptional power-to-weight ratio coupled with robust and reliable engineering.
This MT4 received an all aluminium body made by Italian coachbuilder ATL and the engine is enlarged to 1453cc and produces 110 bhp. A perfect car for those who want to participate in historic racing cars.
